I am a General Practitioner (GP) & Rural Generalist living and working in Port Hedland since 2021.
Registered Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
Hedland has several fantastic General Practitioners in town; however, there is no dedicated home visit medical service available.
I am happy to see you for non & semi-urgent conditions such as:
- Respiratory illness, coughs, colds
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin rashes
- Ear pain
- Joint pain, sprains
- Headaches, migraines
- Mild abdominal pain, nausea & vomiting
- Medical certificates for work/school
- Second opinions
- Health checks
NEW services as of January 2026:
- Blood test requests. At this time you still need to attend Pathology at Hedland Health Campus for the testing.
- X-rays / CT / MRI requests where clinically relevant
The majority of tests will be covered by Medicare (if eligible) so you only pay for initial consult and follow up consult to discuss results; this can be a phone call follow up.
Please note the following:
This is NOT an emergency service. Please attend the local Emergency Department or dial 000 in genuine emergencies.
All consultation services are privately billed without a Medicare rebate. If you wish to access Medicare rebates, please visit one of the mixed billing practices in town.
No opioid or other drugs with the potential for addiction will be prescribed.
This service is not intended to replace your long-term General Practitioner but aims to enhance Hedland healthcare through convenient home visit options.
