I am a Rural Generalist & General Practitioner (GP), Dr. Cheema, living and working in Port Hedland since 2021.
Hedland has several fantastic General Practitioners in town; however, there is no dedicated home visit medical service available.
I am happy to see you for non & semi-urgent conditions such as:
- Respiratory illness, coughs, colds
- Urinary tract infections
- Skin rashes
- Ear pain
- Headaches, migraines
- Mild abdominal pain, nausea & vomiting
- Medical certificates for work/school
- Second opinions

This is NOT an emergency service. Please attend the local Emergency Department or dial 000 in genuine emergencies.
All services are privately billed without a Medicare rebate. If you wish to access Medicare rebates, please visit one of the mixed billing practices in town.
No opioid or other drugs with the potential for addiction will be prescribed.
This service is not intended to replace your long-term General Practitioner but aims to enhance Hedland healthcare through convenient home visit options.
Fixed fee includes travel, administration and clinical time. Prescriptions, when required, are included free of charge; however please note that this does not cover the cost of the medicine.
